Manchester62 White Under 9’s played on Sunday morning against a very strong Lincoln side . The Reds lost 6-2 . The boys took the lead with a magnificent strike from outside the area by Jayron Zammit . Lincoln soon equalized and went 3-1 up . Soon into the second half we started pressing higher up the pitch and Mohammed Abboud scored from a rebound to make it 3-2 . It stayed like that until the final 10 minutes when Lincoln with the wind advantage scored 3 more goals . Our boys showed a lot of character and fought for every ball until the final whistle .

Manchester62 Under 7’s Black lost 6-1 against Lincoln, not bad at all, only 3-1 half time and girls had loads of chances , great goal from anna sera once again from centre pitch.

Manchester62 Fc Under 15’s played vs Collage FC. It was a game in which the younger under 15 players had a mission to try and win. This time around the players were motivated and we kept College at bay for close to 10 minutes. The team defended and cleared the ball preciesly whilst trying to create attacking opportunities. A spectacular goal from Philip in the top corner and a hard struck from mike saw Man 62 score two goals. The manager wishes to express the bravery and determination the boys showed in this weekends encounter.

Manchester 62 Red Under 9’s today played Lions Music Corner both first year Under 9’s. The game was a contested one with Manchester dominating the ball but failing to capitalise on a few good chances. Midway through the fitst half the Reds took the lead through a long range effort by Carl De Torres which the Lions keeper could do nothing to stop the ball. The first half finished with a tight score line of 1-0. The second half picked up where the first had left off and Machester dominating but failing to add to the score line until once again Carl De Torres found the bottom of the net taking the score to 2-0. Lions then went through a good patch and managed to claw back one goal, however only minutes later once again Carl De Torres picked up a loose ball on the left and slalomed around the Lions defence and goalkeeper and slipped in the third goal, taking his personal tally to 3 and the much desired HAT TRICK, in the final minutes Lions had one final clear chance only to be denied by a spectacular diving save by keeper Noah Sene. Final score was Manchester Red U9 3 Lions Music Corner 1 overall good performance by the team.

Manchester 62 Fc Under 7’s played vs league leaders Lincoln FC. It was a game in which the younger under 7 players had a mission to try and keep the score as low as possible. The first two games vs Lincoln saw the young 62’s conceide in excess of ten goals. This time around the players were motivated and we kept Lincoln at bay for close to 10 minutes. The team defended and cleared the ball preciesly whilst trying to create attacking opportunities. A spectacular freekick from Jamie Golding in the top corner and a hard struck corner from Christian Navas saw Man 62 score two goals. The manager wishes to express the bravery and determination the boys showed in this weekends encounter.

Manchester 62 Fc Reds Under 7’s played against Collage Black and won 5- 1. The team defended really well through out the game, and in the last minutes Collage where able to get a consolation goal. The Reds manager Alex was happy with the result although he feels his team could have produced a better performance.

Manchester Ladies won on Sunday against rivals Lions 1-0, goal from Gynaika Mena brilliantly struck from close to halfway. This win today means that the Reds are top of the league 3 points with just 2 matches left.
