Manchester 62 FC took on the GFA under 15 selection in a gloomy evening at the Victoria Stadium.
Once again Naoufal El Andaloussi gave us the lead early in the first half with a shot that creeped into the bottom corner. We were pretty much on the back foot with some poor passes and distant balls that never looked like reaching the target, once again we failed to put in the finishing touches to well worked passes, something that could bite us sooner or later.
Scott Balentine added to the scoreline with a tap in from close range, 2-0 and Man 62 FC were sailing. GFA U15 managed to get one back with a superb finish, they started piling on the pressure and could have easily equalised with some good football from the youngsters, but Man 62 managed to hold the lead until the final whistle.
The win puts us through to the quarter finals of the Rock Cup. Winning the Rock Cup has a lucrative reward, we need to bite the bullet and work for it on and off the pitch.
