Vietnamese style steak, Prescriptions, Any category, Any kitchen, Main dishes, Steaks, Vietnamese cuisine

Ingredients portion 6

Sesame oil 6 tablespoons

Ground black pepper 4 tablespoons

Garlic 12 cloves

Beef fillet 800 g

Fish sauce 6 tablespoons

Cooking instructions 45 minutes + 30 minutes

1 Mix the sesame oil, fish sauce, finely chopped garlic and black pepper and marinate the beef in this mixture. Marinate it for half an hour at room temperature.

2 Afterwards, remove the meat from the marinade, peel off the clinging garlic and dry it on paper towels.

3 Fry for three to four minutes on each side, then slice thinly and serve with boiled rice, which can, incidentally, be fried in garlic marinade.

Recipe tip The Vietnamese fish sauce is called nhoc mam and is made from fish fermented in the sun with salt. The Thai version of the fish sauce is called nam-pla and is also perfect for this dish.
